PAULINE GARNER

Practice Manager

Pauline joined the firm many years ago as a temp providing holiday and sickness cover and eventually becoming a part time member of the support staff but took on the role of Office Manager in March 2022. 

 

Previously working in banking and stock control both positions have provided useful knowledge for anti money laundering and filing!

 

She likes sorting out complex queries and is happy to help anyone needing assistance.

Work/home life balance is important and she enjoys spending time in the garden, reads extensively and is currently trying to brush up her French as her daughter is in her final year studying French and History at University.

KAREN BYRNE

Receptionist/Secretary

Karen Joined Quinn Barrow in 2015 and currently works as Receptionist/Secretary

 

Karen has worked in law since September 1974 having joined a Liverpool firm of Solicitors in their Criminal Department as a Junior and working her way through the ranks to become a Secretary and PA/Fee Earner. 

​

Following redundancy in 2015, Karen joined Quinn Barrow, covering reception, greeting clients, arranging diaries and boardroom meetings, along with the usual admin that follows being on reception.  She also undertakes secretarial work for file handlers.

Karen has a friendly approach and makes clients feel welcome and at ease.

In her spare time Karen enjoys socialising with friends, going to nice restaurants and absolutely loves her holidays away with friends and family.

ELLEN GARNER

Archiving Assistant

Ellen joined Quinn Barrow in 2023 and works as an archiving assistant alongside her studies at the University of Liverpool.   Quinn Barrow is the first law firm Ellen has worked at, although she did her work experience here in 2016!

 

Ellen ensures that clients’ files are kept safe and secure in the timeframe that we are required to keep them. She also has experience in the admin side of the job, helping fee earners when needed and also occasionally greeting clients on reception when needed.

 

Ellen enjoys the organisational aspect of her job, making sure files are where they need to be and that we can access them easily.

 

In her spare time Ellen enjoys travelling and, for now, studying for her exams.
