Rory is a former pupil of Liverpool College 1994-2011 and obtained a degree in Law and Business BA (Hons) at the University of Liverpool, graduating in 2013. He then went on to study the GDL and LPC at BPP Law School before commencing his Training Contract with Quinn Barrow in September 2015.
Rory qualified as a solicitor in September 2017 and upon his admittance, became a Solicitor in Quinn Barrow.
Rory has dealt with a wide-range of Employment Claims including Unfair Dismissal, Discrimination, Health & Safety and Whistleblowing matters. He has also acted on behalf of Employers and Employees respectively when negotiating Settlement Agreements.
Rory has experience in both residential and commercial property transactions having acted on behalf of Purchasers, Sellers, Landlord and Tenant throughout his time at Quinn Barrow. Rory also has experience acting on behalf of Lending Institutions in order to perfect their security ahead of a re-mortgage/re-finance transaction.
Rory has experience acting on behalf of Executors to make an Application for Probate and Administering the deceased’s Estate on their behalf. He has dealt with numerous high-value Estates and is able to liaise efficiently with the HM Revenue & Customs with regards to Inheritance Tax Liabilities owed by the Estate.
Rory has acted on behalf of clients in relation to partnership disputes, construction disputes and breach of contract matters and has experience of taking such matters before the County Court.
