1What are your hours of opening?View

Our office hours are from 08.30hrs until 17.30hrs.

2Can I contact you by telephone outside office hours?View

Yes – Just call our usual office number (0151 231 6620) and your call will be diverted to our duty staff. 

3Can I have an appointment on a Saturday?View

Yes – By prior arrangement with the lawyer handling your case.

4Can I have a home visit?View

Yes – By prior arrangement with the lawyer handling your case.

5Can I have an appointment outside office hours?View

Yes – By prior arrangement with the lawyer handling your case.

6How much do you charge to prepare a Will?View

A straightforward Will would cost £120.00 + VAT. For those clients with more complicated personal affairs who require bespoke advice, we will provide a fixed fee service following our initial meeting.  

7How much do you charge to sell or buy a house?View

Details of our house purchase and sale fees are detailed in the news section of our website. Please contact us for a fixed fee quote to include your Land Registry and search costs.

8Will you charge me for initial advice?View

We are usually prepared to have an initial consultation, at no cost, to discuss your case. This can take place over the phone or at our Stanley Street office in Liverpool City Centre.

9How much do you charge for a divorce?View

An uncontested divorce costs £500.00 + VAT (£587.50) plus Court costs of £385.00 (Total £972.50) If there are any other matters relating to the divorce, such as disputes regarding children or financial matters, then your lawyer will provide you with a written estimate of these costs.

10How quickly can an appointment be arranged?View

We can meet with you as soon as is necessary – including same day and out of office appointments for emergency and urgent matters.

11Do you have disabled access?View

Yes – Please contact us in advance of your appointment if you have any access requirements.

12Are your staff qualified?View

Yes – The lawyers that will handle your case at Quinn Barrow are all fully qualified solicitors. Our experienced support staff  are supervised by the case handling lawyer.

13What type of work do you do?View

Details of the work we do are detailed on our website. Make us your first call for legal advice – if we cannot help, we can refer you to one of our extensive network of legal and professional contacts. 

14How much do you charge?View

There is no simple answer to this!  It depends upon the type of service you require. We offer a full range of funding options – including “No Win No Fee”; Fixed prices; Monthly retainers; Legal expenses insurance; etc. Once we take your case on we will fully explore with you the most suitable funding option.  

15How long do matters take?View

At Quinn Barrow, we will undertake your legal case/transaction as efficiently and quickly as possible. However some legal work is unpredictable – especially litigation.

16Can I pay by credit/debit card?View

Yes – We accept all major credit and debit cards.

17Can you help me complain about another Solicitor?View

Yes – We have pursued other lawyers for professional negligence, locally and nationally.

18Can I e-mail you?View

Yes – All our lawyers and staff can be contacted by e-mail. General or initial contact can be made via enquiries@quinn-barrow.co.uk

19Do I need a solicitor for a Court case?View

A Solicitor may not be required for a small claims case. You may want to consult a solicitor if you are unclear about the merits of your case, or to discuss other options, such as mediation.

For larger claims, it is advisable to use a solicitor to represent you. Taking advice before proceeding with litigation could save you money in the long run.

20Compromise Agreements - How much do you charge?View

Our minimum charge for advising on a Compromise Agreement is £350 + VAT. Don't worry as these costs are met by your ex-employer.
